Computer has take up a lot of our times. We use it to work in office and play computer games in leisure time. Most of us do not know how to repair when there are some problems in use. Finally, your  analysis and judgment should be based on your existing knowledge and experience. Consult a professional if you don’t know the problems well.

Third, check the software first, and then the hardware.

The first things is to judge if it is a software failure. And then check the software. If there is no wrong with the software, or you have fixed the software failure, the computer failure still not disappear, you need to check the hardware.

Fourth, you need to prioritize in maintenance process.

You may notice that a machine has more than one failure. When it has two or more than two failures, you should determine the main symptoms and repair them first. Then other minor symptoms. Sometimes, you may not need to repair them after  the main failure has been solved.

Fifth, the basic method of computer maintenance.

1.     Observation

.Including the surrounding environment, hardware environment, plugs, seats and ducts, as well as software environment and user’s operation habits and procedures.

2.      The minimum system method.

This means that, the basic hardware and software environment which enables a computer to boot or run, from the perspective of maintenance.

Minimum hardware system: is made up of the power supply, main board and cpu. In this system, there are no connection to signal line, only the power connected to the motherboard.

Minimum software system: is made up of the power supply, motherboard, cpu, memory, graphics card / monitor, keyboard and hard disks. This minimal system is mainly used to judge whether the system can boot or run normally.

For minimum software environment, we need to pay attention . Keep the original software environment to judge the application problems. You can uninstalling or masking as needed.

3. The gradual addition / removal method.

Gradual addition method is based on minimize system. By adding to the system one device or software each time, you could check whether the failure disappeared or changed so that to judge and locate the failure position.

The gradual removal method and just opposite the gradual addition method in operation.
