to open a photo in your computer with photo application, you will get a message
says “Invalid value for registry”. So you cannot view any photos for this
error. This error usually occurs after you upgrade the Windows. Why we will get
this error?
It is the registry
entry of the previous version of affected application is causing this problem.
Registry keeps instruction of all programs so that to instruct the computer.
Then you try to view a picture, the computer perform this action according to

In Windows 7, Press
Windows key to open the search box, type “regedit” in the search box and then
press Enter. Then locate HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Software>Classes>Local
Settings> Software> Windows> Current

How
to restore photos from
“invalid value for registry” ?
If you cannot access to
your photos and constantly get this error message, you can use the data recovery software to
recover the lost or corrupted photos. After you have recover the photos, you
can try to fix this problem.
First, launch Hdata
recovery software on your computer. Click the button of “Deleted your files
accidentally”.
Select the hard drive
partition where your photos is stored.
Click Scan to search
for the files on your chosen hard drive partition. It will scan the partition
automatically.
After scan, you can
preview all the listed files. Check the files you need to click next.
Choose a recovery path
to restore your files. To avoid possible data overwritten, you should not
recover the photos back to this partition you are recovering.
