How to recover data from memory card

With the development of science and technology, the digital products are going through a rapid upgrading. As people have more need on data storage, most of mobile phone allow a external memory card to restore their large amount of data.

However, there are always some memory card problems in use. For example, your mobile phone may prompt “ Your memory card is damaged, do you need to format it now?” Most of mobile users don’t know how to deal with this case. They may choose to format it. Even though a new memory card do not cost you too much. But the data you lost matter much. When you found the memory card has damaged, how can you recover the data on it? Here I will introduce some simple restoration method of memory card.

First of all, you need to know the causes for format prompt. There are two main causes:

1.    You have done a hot plug when the memory card is reading. Some people may directly open the back of phone to pull out the memory card. But the memory card is reading data or running some programs, the hot plug interrupt the data transmission and then cause data loss.

2.    You have use the card reader to read data, read and delete a large amount of data.

In most cases, the memory card problems are caused by the hot plug. To protect your memory card, you need to pull out card after you turned your mobile phone off. If you must do a hot plug, you should make sure that all the data and programs have been stopped, and then operate as the prompts.

　　If you memory card has been damaged, you can try the following way to recover your data:

　　Connect your memory card to computer. Open “my computer” and find the drive letter of your memory card, right click it. Choose “attribute”.

　　Then choose “tools’—“check”, click “start checking”. Tick all the checking options and click start, waiting for the checking finish. The checking may need a long time. You need to wait with patience, please do not quit or pull out the memory card in the middle of restoration, or the memory card will have a second damage.

　　Generally the memory card can work well after this restoration. If it still cannot work, and the data on memory card are very important to you, you can send it to the data recovery center to repair.
