How to recover corrupted data and how to prevent it?

Data corruption is one of the most common causes for data loss. Some of them can be detected, while others cannot be detected. The most common causes for data corruptions are as follows.
Power outages
The sudden power loss or other power-related problem can cause data loss on hard drive. If you do not shut down the computer properly, you are easier to have data loss.
Hardware failures can cause data corruption. There are various hard drive problems, such as bad sectors, bad RAM and other physical damages.
The hard drive or other storage devices have not been safely removed from the computer. If you remove the USB storage device by force to eject them before you have safely remove them from system or you unplug the hard drive before you have power down the computer, it has great possible for you to have data loss or corruption.
Virus infection or malware. If there is virus or malware on your hard drive, it not only slow down the running speed, but also it will cause data loss or data corruption.
How to troubleshoot when data corruption occurs?
1. Use the Windows built-in tool to check the disk
Right-click the disk and choose properties, click Check now button in Tools tab. It will automatically to check the disk with system errors . You also can choose to scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors.
2. Use antivirus software to scan the disk
Run an antivirus software can help you to get rid of the virus and malware. If you have data loss after killing them, you should adopt a data recovery software to restore them.
3. Upgrade your hardware
If there are hardware failures in your computer, you may need to upgrade the hardware.
4. Back up your data
Backup is the most effective way for you to prevent possible data loss or data corruption. In case you have data corruption, you still can restore from the backups. But the backup is also possible become corrupted over time, you need to back up your data regularly and have more than one copies.
In conclusion, data corruption is inevitable, you cannot always prevent it. What we can do is to minimize the data corruption and reduce possible data loss. Once you have data loss, you should retrieve your data with the data recovery software first.
How to recover corrupted data from hard drive?
First, you need to download and run Hdata recovery software on your computer. And choose the proper recovery method according to your data loss. If you have data corruption on different drives, you can take Universal recovery.
Second, scan the drive and preview the result. You are able to preview the files and filter what you do not need.
Third, choose the files you need and then click to choose a recovery path for your data. To avoid data overwritten, you should not save data on any partition where have data loss.

Recovering data from a crashed hard drive

Computer crash is not uncommon for all users. We usually have computer crash while in use. Most of time, we can reboot the computer to solve this problem. But in some cases, the computer get corrupted after crash, so we cannot enter the computer and access to our files. The frequent computer crash usually indicates serious computer problems.
What are the signs for computer crash?
If your computer needs along time to boot up, and runs very slow when open files or applications, and frequent have blue screen, your computer is easy to have crash.
Not all computer crashes have signs. Some crashes due to virus infection, malware or improper operations on computer.
There are two main causes for computer crash: software and hardware.
And computer crash can be divided into four types.
If your computer has corrupted after crash, you need to remove the hard drive from the computer and then use a data recovery software to retrieve them.
Before you start to recovery, you need to power down the computer and then remove the hard drive from the computer case.
Connect the hard drive taken from the crashed computer with a healthy computer as an external hard drive.
Download and run Hdatarecovery software on the healthy computer.
Select the recovery module of Hard drive partition lost or crash, click Next.
Select the correct partition which you have data loss click Next to scan.
Wait for a moment. The scanning time depends on the size of files you need to scan.
Preview the scanning result and check the files you need to recover, click Next.
Choose a recovery path to save the files. You should not save the recovered results on the crashed hard drive.
Check the recovered results and back up them.
Suggestions: you should always pay attention to the maintenance skill of your hard drive and computer. Learn some basic knowledge of common computer failures is useful.
If you have serious computer problems and you cannot repair by yourself, you’d better ask the data recovery company to help you. Do not try any operations which can cause more serious data loss before you know it. Frequent computer crash indicate serious problems in computer. You should find out the causes for your computer crash. When abnormal occurs, you should back up your important files in time.

Data recovery and repair of a damaged CD

Although other storage devices have gradually replaced the CD, people still need CD. For example, when people get married, the wedding company will burn the video onto disk so that the couple can sent them to their relatives and friends. Once you found that the data on CD are missing, what should you to get them back?

Today, I’d like to talk about the repair of CD.
1.      Usually, the new CD we bought has a plastic protection to prevent it from dust and fingerprints. The oily disk surface will cause the laser be refracted or  scattered so that the data on disk cannot be read. You’d better use a soft lint-free dry rag to remove the dirt and stains from the center of the disk. Do not use benzene, Alcohol, or other chemical solvents to avoid damage to CD.

2.      Many CD are made from some plastic materials like PVC. The ultraviolet in light will accelerate aging of CD and make it become brittle and deformed. Therefore, we should put it back to the box after each use to avoid direct sunlight. You’d better put up curtains if there is a window in the room. The perfect solution is to use  UV protected glass and put it in a windowless room with a incandescent light.
3.      The CD is very thin with low strength and low mechanical stress. Some of disks are even made of glass. Therefore, you should form a good habit of protecting it. So it should be handled with care and prevent it from falling , bump, scratch.

4.      The disk record film is made from tellurium and tellurium alloy .The reflecting layer is made from aluminum. They all have chemistry high activity and are easy to have metamorphic reactions such as Oxidation, electrical erosion. Oxidizing noxious gas such as sulfur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, hydrogen sulfide have excessively high ratio in air. If the protection layer is damaged, the record film will be easy oxidized then to shorten its service time. Therefore, please keep CD away from noxious gas and can keep it in a sealed environment.
5.     The most suitable temperature for CD is the same as computer room as around 20 degree centigrade. The relative humidity is around 45 percent. Humidity may cause surface oxidation of record film. Overheating may cause bend and distortion. So please keep CD away from heater. On the contrary, long storage in dry and low-temperature environment will also cause distortion of the above and below plastic structure of disk. Then it cause error reading of the disk information.

These are some problems you need to note in use. You’d better to master some maintenance and repair knowledge for CD. If you found data loss on disk or it cannot be read correctly, you can contact the Hdata recovery technical team for help.
