Although other
storage devices have gradually replaced the CD, people still need CD. For
example, when people get married, the wedding company will burn the video onto
disk so that the couple can sent them to their relatives and friends. Once you
found that the data on CD are missing, what should you to get them back?
Today, I’d like
to talk about the repair of CD.
1. Usually,
the new CD we bought has a plastic protection to prevent it from dust and
fingerprints. The oily disk surface will cause the laser be refracted or scattered so that the data on disk cannot be
read. You’d better use a soft lint-free dry rag to remove the dirt and stains
from the center of the disk. Do not use benzene, Alcohol, or other chemical
solvents to avoid damage to CD.
2. Many
CD are made from some plastic materials like PVC. The ultraviolet in light will
accelerate aging of CD and make it become brittle and deformed. Therefore, we
should put it back to the box after each use to avoid direct sunlight. You’d
better put up curtains if there is a window in the room. The perfect solution
is to use UV protected glass and put it
in a windowless room with a incandescent light.
3. The
CD is very thin with low strength and low mechanical stress. Some of disks are
even made of glass. Therefore, you should form a good habit of protecting it.
So it should be handled with care and prevent it from falling , bump, scratch.
4. The
disk record film is made from tellurium and tellurium alloy .The reflecting
layer is made from aluminum. They all have chemistry high activity and are easy
to have metamorphic reactions such as Oxidation, electrical erosion. Oxidizing
noxious gas such as sulfur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, hydrogen sulfide have
excessively high ratio in air. If the protection layer is damaged, the record
film will be easy oxidized then to shorten its service time. Therefore, please
keep CD away from noxious gas and can keep it in a sealed environment.
5. The
most suitable temperature for CD is the same as computer room as around 20 degree
centigrade. The relative humidity is around 45 percent. Humidity may cause surface
oxidation of record film. Overheating may cause bend and distortion. So please
keep CD away from heater. On the contrary, long storage in dry and
low-temperature environment will also cause distortion of the above and below
plastic structure of disk. Then it cause error reading of the disk information.
These are some
problems you need to note in use. You’d better to master some maintenance and
repair knowledge for CD. If you found data loss on disk or it cannot be read
correctly, you can contact the Hdata recovery technical team for help.
