File recovery and how to avoid accident deletion

Most of you may have ever accidentally deleted some important file as you are trying to improve the running speed of computer. That have brought many troubles to us. So it’s very necessary to master some methods to prevent your files from accident deletion.

There are 4 tips for avoiding mistaken deletion.
1.      Change the file attributes to read-only
After this change, it will prompts you whenever you are deleting a file. That would effectively help you delete your files by accident. What are the steps?
First, find out the file you need to set.
Second, right click the file, choose and open the “attribute”.
Third, tick the “ read-only “ option in attribute.

2.      Hidden the file folder
This is a quite good tip. As you have hidden your file, it is invisible for you. You will surely not delete it.
First, right click to choose attribute, and then to tick “hidden”.
3.      Encrypt the file by using a encryption software
You can use a professional encryption software to encrypt your file. In that case, you need to enter the password when you want to delete this file. It will greatly reduce your risk of accident deletion. But try to find a professional software. The regular software also can encrypt the file but run the risk of password being cracked after encryption. A professional encryption software employs most advanced and mature algorithm with a high encryption strengths to reduce your data loss.
4.      Setup the administrative permissions
After you have set up a file’s administrative permission, you cannot delete it. But how to set the administrative permissions?
First, find out the file you need to set. Click attribute—safety—advanced option—change permission.
Second, do not tick “ tick the permission can inherit from its parent”. Then the system will pop up a new dialog box. Click the “ deletion “ in dialog box.
Third, a new interface will pop up to prompt that “You have forbid all users to visit XX file, only the owner can change the permission, will you continue?”. You just need to click “YES”.
Fourth, After finished, open the file again, you will find a small lock on the file icon. Then you have no permission to delete, the file cannot be deleted.

Hope the above tips really helps for you. But I still want to remind you to backup regularly. Backup is to find your deleted data back at the first time. It is the quickest and effective way.

If you are unlucky enough to lost your data and have no backup, you still can retrieve your data by using a data recovery software. As regular data recovery software lack of safety data scanning and restoration mechanism, the data may cannot be read or cannot be completely recovered. A professional data recovery software adopts mature data recovery technology that it can effectively avoid these problems.
