After you have finished
the encryption, the will be a notification says that SD card encrypted.
Once you have encrypted
your SD card, you can not access the files on this SD card unless you decrypt
it. But a factory reset will make the encrypted files on the SD card
unrecoverable. Therefore, encrypt files is a good way to protect your files,
and also a way to wipe your files.
In conclude, if you
want to secure your files in your phone, encryption is far from enough. If you
forgot the password, or you do a factory reset on your phone, you will lose
your files. You need to back up your files on other devices or online storage
system.
