Data recovery and clean up the disk in Windows system to increase computer performance

Most of people have trouble with a slow computer if they do not form a good habit of clean up the disk space. To some extend, the computer has been used as a storage device to save all kinds of files for us. And with the increased demand, we install or run lost of programs on C drive. Therefore, our computer has lower free space, the computer will run very slow. To increase the performance of your computer, you should first know the causes for your slow computer.
How to clean up the C drive space?
1. Remove the files from the C drive to other locations
The C drive has limited space, but operating system installed here and all the running programs will take its space. You’d better not to save data here. When you download programs and files, you can choose to save on other partitions. And for the personal files, you can also save on other storage devices.
2. Check the recycle bin
You should empty the recycle bin regularly.  The files stay in the recycle bin will take up the space of your hard drive so that to influence the running speed . At the same time, you may need to resize the recycle bin to free up the drive. As we know that each partition leaves a space for recycle bin to store deleted files, if the size for recycle bin is too large, the C drive will have less space for storage and running.
How to resize the recycle bin?
To reduce the space taken up by recycle bin, you should right-click to reset the configurations for recycle bin. In the pop-up window, you can reset the percentage of the maximum size of recycle bin. The percentage depends the size of this partition and your needs. Generally, the percentage is about 12%, you can set it to 3% or 5%. The recycle bin is used for you to recover files if you regret deleting files. If you have no need to restore from the recycle bin, you can set an even smaller percentage.
3. Clean up the unwanted system files
If you directly open the C drive, it’s not easy for you to find them. You can clean them in the Windows tool Disk Cleanup or use a third-party tool.
Open the Disk Cleanup and choose the C drive, it will need several minutes for system to calculating how much space you will be able to free. In the Disk Cleanup window, it will tell you how much space you can free up. you can check the files you need to delete.
The best way is to use a third-party cleanup tool to clean up the disk. After scanning with the cleanup tool, you are able to clean the junk files, IE trace, caches, plug-ins, seldom-used software, cookies. It will greatly help you to improve the performance of your computer. Clean up is a thing you must do frequently.
In case you lost data in the cleanup process, don’t be panic, you still have way to recover them. What you can do is to avoid writing new data to this drive, and take the data recovery software immediately. Data loss is not a serious thing as now we can easily recover them, but backup of files is always the most important for us to reduce possible data loss.
