How to recover data from a laptop hard drive which cannot boot?

When we are faced with laptop problems, generally the issues can be diagnosed by itself. But it’s no way to find the problem even when the laptop cannot boot. In that case, before you take it for reparation, you should try the following ways to check your laptop first to find out the reasons why your laptop cannot boot.
Check the battery of laptop
The battery issues can cause the laptop cannot boot. You can check this by removing the battery from your laptop. First, you need to connect the charger cable to another laptop to check if it works normally. Then you should remove the battery and plug the laptop into a power source. This is help you to find out which cause the laptop cannot boot, the battery, the charger cable, or other components.
Try the command prompt
If your laptop cannot boot properly but you still can access to the command prompt interface, you still can troubleshooting the laptop. You can boot the laptop, and choose to enter BIOS interface. In the BIOS setup utility interface, you can navigate to the Boot tab, choose Boot device Priority. It allows you to boot from other devices, such as the boot disc or your USB drive. Then you can insert the USB drive or disc into the laptop to reboot your computer. After you have select the language and input preference, you can click to Repair your computer. Next select troubleshoot > advanced options>command prompt. Then you can enter the commands window to troubleshoot the laptop. As you have boot from the disk or drive, you can choose the system restore or startup repair to fix this problem.
Assign drive letter for the system drive
If the partition where the operating system is installed has not assigned a drive letter, it can cause the boot problem. But you can reassign a drive letter in the command prompt interface. Open the command prompt window use the disk partition utility. Type diskpart and press enter. Then type list volume. It will list all the drives here. You can change or assign drive letter for all the volumes. Make sure that you have selected the correct drive, or it will cause problems.
Try boot repair disk
If you have boot problems,use the boot repair disc is an easier way. It can automatically find the problems which cause your laptop cannot boot.
After you have enter into the operating system, you can start to recover your data. Generally, you will have no data while you are trying to fix the boot issues. If you have not write new data to overwrite the raw data on the hard drive, you can get a full recovery.
