Recover files when black screen occurs at boot

Black screen is always a bad news for us. Sometimes, when you boot your computer, you may find a black screen. As you cannot boot the computer, you cannot get more detailed diagnose information to help you to solve this problem. Not only we cannot fix this problem, but also cannot access to the data. The first step: check all the cables. Please make sure that the cable running from your monitor to your computer is well connected and turn on the monitor. If it still does not work, you can switch the cable to other video input or change another cable to see if the problem has been solved. Or you can connect the monitor to another computer to see if the monitor works well. If not, you may need to repair or replace a new monitor.
The second step: find out the possible external device which may cause black screen. To achieve this, you have to remove all the external devices. Such as external hard drive, U disk, mouse, keyboard. Then reboot your computer. If the computer does not get a black screen, you can be sure that it is the external device that cause the black screen. Then you should plug the device one by one to find which device cause the black screen. After you find out the device which cause the problem, you need to update its driver.
The third step: reinstall the display drivers. You can boot the computer in safe mode. If you can came to login screen, you can click: Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup settings > Restart. The computer will restart, press F5 to choose the safe mode with networking. If you cannot see anything on the screen, you can choose to use the recovery drive to fix. If not, you need to download windows and then use it to create installation media. To reinstall display drivers, you can boot your computer in safe mode and find the device manager, right-click to select the properties. In the Driver tab, there is a button of Roll Back Driver, it can help to roll back to the previously installed driver. If this does not work, you can click the Uninstall button to uninstall the driver.
