Hard disk data recovery and 8 maintenance skills

Once the hard disk is damaged, there will be many troubles which will bring much inconvenience to us. The data loss may be the most sever problem. However, if we have pay attention to hard disk maintenance, the lifetime of hard disk will be longer and there will be less data loss. Here are some common maintenance skills for hard disk.
1.    Keep the computer in a clean environment
The hard disk uses the spiracle of filter paper with ultra precision  to communicate with the out side world. It can be used in indoor environment with no purification equipment. But if it is used in a dusty environment, the filter paper will be absorbed on the surface of PCBA, and inside of spindle motor, or it will block the breath filter. Therefore, you should keep it from dust.
2.    Form a good habit to correctly turn off your computer.
While the hard disk is in working, the sudden power loss may cause a violent friction between head and platter so that to damage hard disk. And it also may cause the head cannot reset correctly which lead to scratches on hard disk. When shut down your computer, you should notice that the flashing light of hard disk is still blinking or not.  Only the light stop blinking and the reading is finished, can you power off your computer.
3.    Prevent it from high temperature, moisture, and electromagnetic interference.
Hard disk’s life and working condition have a great relationship with the temperature. A very high or low temperature will cause clock frequency changes of the crystal oscillator, and it will lead to failures of hard disk circuit components. The magnetic media will has a recording error for thermal expansion. But if the temperature is too low, the moistures in air will be condensed on integrated circuit components which causes short circuits.
4. Avoid shocks when you move hard disk.
It would be  best to wait for ten seconds to move hard disk after the hard drive completely stopped. When boot, the hard disk is rotating at high speed. Even gently shaking will lead to friction between the discs and read-write head so that cause a disk damage or head damage. Therefore, in the boot state,  you should not move hard disk or the box. Waiting for ten seconds and the hard disk has completely stopped,  you can move the  host or restarting the power to avoid damage from moment movement.
5. Regularly defragment the hard disk.
Regularly defragment the hard disk can improve the speed,  accumulated fragments not only decrease the access efficiency, but also may cause bad track. It will also affect the life of the hard drive.
6. Notice the prevention of the virus.
Regularly killing virus in your hard disk, and you should pay attention to important data protection as well as a regular backup. It would be better if you don’t  run any unsolicited applications or open unsolicited e-mail attachments.
7.  Hard disk bad tracks.
The bad track is always has strong diffusibility in destructiveness, even it is only a cluster. So you’d better not format hard disk to reduce the diffusibility of bad clusters.
8.Do not use the hard disk compression.
With the compressed volume file increases, the hard disk read and write data speed will be slow. If the disk capacity is enough to you, it’s no need to use the hard disk compression.
The daily maintenance of the hard disk is actually very important, if data loss occurs, the best is to find professional people to help you retrieve data from hard drive.
