Hard disk recovery service and maintenance skills

Do you know the recovery method for a formatted mobile hard disk? And what should we do to better maintenance mobile hard disk?
As we frequently move our laptop, the laptop needs us more attention.
1. Defragment your hard disk regularly. Adding, deleting some certain files or software in computer will result in an increase in the hard disk fragments. Too many fragments will lead to the  head to the disk move frequently when in reading. This will not only affect hard disk performance, but also the hard drive life. You can click "Start - Programs - Accessories - System Tools - Disk Defragmenter – defrag” to defragment your hard disk. However, we must note that defragmentation should not be too frequent, or it will shorten the life of the hard drive.  So you can defragment in a more longer period, once a month is great.
2. Virtual Memory. Users with 1G or more memory can disable the virtual memory. For the use of virtual memory needs to frequently read the page file in system disk. Disabling allows the hard disk is not involved in the memory work. That will not only improve performance, but also extend the hard disk’s life. Right click “My Computer - Properties - Advanced - Performance, Settings - Advanced - Virtual Memory ,Change - No paging file."
3. Shutdown correctly. Please close all current programs before shut down the computer. Then click "Start - Shut down the computer" to shut down. Make sure that the hard disk has stopped rotating before you shut down computer. If the  hard drive has a suddenly power loss while it is still in working, it could cause the head severely collide with  the hard disk, and  the head will not be able to properly reset so that to scratch the disk platter.
4. Do not casually remove the hard drive. Dust, static electricity and vibration will damage the hard disk. For users who want to upgrade the hard drive, you need to turn off the power first and put out the battery. You should hold the sides of the hard disk when disassembling it to avoid a direct contact with the back circuit board.  Handle it with care and avoid to collide with other hard objects. Do not touch the back circuit board of hard disk in case the  static electricity on hand will damage the electronic components on the hard disk, then resulting in damage of  write cache chip.
5. Regularly make a hard disk bad track detection. Upon bad tracks occurs,  you should repair or block them as soon as possible to avoid proliferation of bad tracks. Generally, the  logic bad tracks can be repaired, but the physical bad tracks need to be blocked to prohibit heads to read and write the bad track areas. You can click as "My Computer - hard disk partition, right click - Properties - Tools - mistake." .
6. You’d better use it with a battery. Some users prefer to unplug the battery to use the AC. However, once there is a power outage, it will cause the data loss, as well as the drive wear.  Some computer’s performance will be better in the condition of using a battery and AC. This way will not shorten the battery’s  life. But you are suggested to regularly discharged. To use it in without connecting the power until it  automatically shut down. And then full charge it to keep your batteries in a good condition.
