How to repair a corrupted SD card and how to recover files from SD card?
1. Change
another device to know if it can read the SD card. Sometimes, your SD card may
not compatible with some devices.
2. Use
CMD command to check errors. Insert your SD card to a card reader and then
insert the card reader into computer. Find your SD card in My computer and keep
the drive letter in mind. If the drive letter os your sd card is G. Press
Windows key and input ‘CMD” in the search box. Open this cmd.exe Window. Input chkdsk G:/f and press Enter. It will automatically check
errors in disk G. After that you can check if you can access to your data on SD
card.
3. Change the assigned drive letter. If you insert the card reader
into computer, the system says “there is no disk in the drive. Please inset a
drive into disk E”. Then you should change the drive letter in the disk
management.
4. If you have seen all the filenames listed in the drive but the
data cannot be read. Right-click the drive letter of your SD card and click “properties”,
if the used space shows all free, your files may have been deleted. You should
use the data recovery software to recover them.
5. Check if your SD card is in write protection mode. If you can read
your files but cannot save files, you should unlock the protection mode.
If you still cannot read files
on your SD card or write data to your SD card, you need a data recovery software. Do
not try to format your SD card, or you will lost all your files. A data
