Formatting are useful
for us to fix many system and software problems. While if you do not back up
your data before you perform the format, it will bring you disaster. All your
data on the hard drive will be lost after formatting. And there two kind of
formatting, one is quick format which is the most commonly used;while the other
is full format. What are the difference between a quick format and full format?
Quick
format versus Full format
Full format: Full
refers to absolute. A full format will completely wipe your data on hard drive
so that they will be come unrecoverable. If you want to completely clean your
hard drive, you can perform a full format.
Another feature of full
format is that it can check the bad sectors on the hard drive so that help to
fix the drive. If the full format find the bad sectors on your hard drive, it
will try to fix the. If the bad sectors can be fixed, they will be available
again. After a full format, all your data on the drive will become
unrecoverable.
Quick format: Quick
format is the suggested way. It refers to quick. Differ from the full format,
it only delete the journal-ling file system. The full format will rebuild the
file system, but quick format will not. And it will not scan and fix the bad
sectors, erase the data. Therefore, the data on the quick formatted hard drive
can be recovered as long as you have not write new data to there to overwrite
the raw data.
From above, I still
cannot tell you that which kind of format you need to choose. As far as it
determined by your purpose to format. The thing you must do before you either
perform a quick format or full format is to remember to back up all your data
on the drive. If you have backed up your data, you can perform a full format to
deeply clean and fix the bad sectors although it may take you more time. It’s
necessary to improve your hard drive’s performance, stability and secure your
data on the drive. If you only want to fix the inaccessible drive and want to
save time, you can take the quick format. If you are using a new and branded
hard drive, your drive will have less chance to have bad sectors.
How to recover files after
formatting?
As we have mentioned
above, full format will completely wipe your drive on the hard drive, so your
data will never become recovered. If you only perform a quick format, you have
great chance if you have not overwritten the deleted files.
No overwritten is the
key for data recovery. You should download and run data recovery software on
other partition where have no data loss.
On the Hdata recovery
software interface, there is a recovery mode named Formatted Hard Drive
Accidentally. Click this button to scan the formatted partition.
After scanning, you can
preview the results and then choose the location to store the data.
