To restore data from
iTunes to iPhone, you should have iTunes backup. Today I would like to
introduce how to sync iPhone with iTunes and how to restore data from iTunes
backup.
How
to backup iPhone to iTunes?
Open iTunes on computer
and click the phone icon to come to the backup and restore page. You will see
the iPhone section and Backups section.
iPhone section: you can
see all the information about your iPhone, such as the capacity, phone number,
iOS version. And you can check for Update and Restore iPhone.
Backups section
In the Automatically
Back Up part, you can choose to back up your iPhone data to iCloud or this
computer. Also, you can choose to encrypt your iPhone backup if shared your
computer with others.
In the Manually Back Up
and Restore part, you can back up your iPhone or restore a backup stored on
this computer by manual. Click “Back Up Now” to backup, or “Restore Backup..”
to restore.
Other options: You can
check the option “Automatically sync when this iPhone is connected”. Then every
time you run iTunes and connect iPhone to computer, it will automatically sync
them.
Sync with this iPhone
over Wi-Fi: you can sync your iPhone via Wi-Fi network without USB cables.
How to restore iPhone data
from iTunes backup?
As long as you have
synced your iPhone to iTunes, you can restore from it on your computer.
If you want to restore
entire iTunes backup to your iPhone, such as you reset your iPhone to factory
state, you need to retrieve all the data. Launch iTunes and click phone icon to
come to the Backups section, click “Restore Backup”. The software will
automatically restore the backups to your iPhone.
In addition, you can
choose to use an iPhone recovery software to extract data from the iTunes
backup. With data recovery software, you do not need to worry about data loss
after recovery.
Launch H Data iPhone recovery
software on computer which stores the iTunes backup.
Click “View and Restore
files from iTunes backups”. The different iTunes backup will list here. If you
do not find the backup you need, you can manually select backup by click
“Browse For iTunes Backups”. Select the correct backup. You can configure
by the Device name, backup time, and serial number.
Choose the backup and
click “SCAN” button. It will automatically scan the iTunes backup for files.
You can see the scanning progress bar and percentage.
After scan, you are
able to view all the contents. The software nearly can restore all kinds of
data.
Click the content type
which you need to restore, preview all the files.
Tick the files you need
to restore and then click the button to export selected records.
