How

1.In
Windows 7, open this word document or Excel sheet, click the office button on
the top left corner.
Click Prepare from the
menu, you will see an option of Encrypt Document on the right side.
Click the Encrypt
Document and open it, input password in the box and then click OK. In case you
will forget the password, you’d better keep the password in a safe place.
Confirm password and
click OK.
Save this file.
How to remove the
password of the office documents?
Click to open the
document, enter the password.
Click the office
button> prepare>Encrypt Document
In the password dialog,
delete the encrypted password.
Click OK and save this
file.

Use Windows built-in tools or a third-party software to compress and encrypt
Please download a kind
of file compression utility from the website. There are so many free file
compression utility on the Internet. Take the Winrar for example.
First, you need to
download and install the Winrar on your computer.
Second, right-click the
file or file folder to choose WinRAR from the menu, and then select Add to
archive…
Third, in the Window of
Archive name and parameters, you will see Set password in the General tab.
Fourth, click the Set
password button and input your password. Click OK.
Fifth, you have set the
password for this compressed file. You can try to open it, but you can not open
any file in this compressed file, it requires you to input the password.
If you want to
uncompresse the file, you can right-click the compressed file and select
Extract Here.
