Frequent automatic
shutdown of computer is really very annoying experience. It not only affect the
normal use of computer, making us lost the unsaved data, but also it indicates
other serious computer issues.
1.
Overheat of computer
Overheating
is the main reason for your computer’s abnormal shutdown. The computers are
designed to shut down automatically if the inner part is overheating. Which
components inside the computer generate heat? The CPU and GPU generate a large
amount of heat. If you play a game , it needs the GPU to carry our complicated
calculations. And the heat
generate by these components are dissipated by several fans. Therefore, you
need to make sure the fans work normally and the computer can ventilate itself.
First,
you need to check the power fan by check the back of your computer case. If it
is not work well, the power supply also will be very hot, you need to replace a
new fan.
Second,
if the power fan is good, you should open the computer case to check other fans
and the heat sink. Check the heat sink is seated concretely or not, if not,
please reset the heat sink to protect the CPU from overheating. If the fan
doesn’t run smoothly and make abnormal noises, and the components like CPU, GPU
and power supply are very hot, the fan may malfunctioned. You need to replace
or repair the fan immediately.
If they are covered
with too much dust, they will also cannot work well to ventilate. If there are
too much dust on the fans and components, you should use clean the dust.
If your laptop is overheat, you’d better do not
open it, you can add an external ventilation fan for it.
2.
Hardware failures
Other main reason for
your computer’s abnormal shutdown is hardware failures.
If you have added new
hardware to your computer, you should remove them first to see if it is these
new hardware that caused this problem.
If you have not add new
hardware to the computer, you can remove the non-essential hardware which is
not needed for the computer to operate to diagnose the problem.
3.
Computer virus
If your computer has
been infected with virus or malware, your computer will shut down automatically
when you run the infected programs. To avoid the virus infection, you should
use your computer in a clean environment and update the antivirus software.
4.
Operating system problem
If all the above
problems have been ruled out, the shutdown may be causes by your operating
system.
Please reboot your
computer and enter CMOS setup and keep it in CMOS, if your computer does not
shut down, you may have a corrupted operating system.
Avoid overheating is
necessary to maintenance your computer and keep your computer in good
condition. If there are frequent shutdown of your computer, you need to
troubleshoot the problems immediately.
