We occasionally may
face the situation that the computer crashed and cannot enter into the
operating system. As we cannot enter the Windows, we cannot access to the data
on the hard drive. What should we do to recover the files without OS? Do not
worry, you still have way to recover your lost files. Windows 7 still has a
large market share now, so we take Windows 7 recover as an example to show how to recover data from a hard drive
without OS.
Here I introduce some Windows recovery ways for you.
1.
Repair your computer with Windows Error Recovery
If your computer crashed,
you can shut it down. After restart the computer after the illegal shutdown,
you will enter a Windows Error Recovery screen.
The cursor stays on the
option of “launch startup Repair” or “Start Windows Normally” by default. If it
stays on the second option, it indicates the problems has been repaired
automatically and the system allows you to start the operating system. If there
are damaged files or corrupted operating system, you will have a computer
crash. When you reboot the computer, it will stays on the option that Launch
startup Repair by default. Press Enter, the computer will repair the system by
itself.
After you have repaired
the system, you can enter the system and access to your files.
2.
Repair your system with System restore
If you cannot repair
your system with Windows Error Recovery, you can try to use the system restore.
When boot the computer,
press F8 to enter Advanced Boot option page.
Choose “Repair your
computer” option, press Enter.
Select the keyboard
input method, click next.
Enter your user name
and password, click OK. Then you will come to the System Recovery Options
window.
Click the link of
System Restore from the window. It helps you to restore Windows to an enter
point in time.
Select a restore point
and then reboot the computer. If nothing else, you will be able to enter the
Windows and access your files.
But to use the system
restore feaure, you should have enable
the system restore before, and you also should have
create the restore point.
3.
Repair computer with installation or recovery disc
If you have a Windows
installation disc or recovery disc, you can use the disc to repair your
Windows.
Insert this disc into
your computer and reboot your computer from the disc.
In the System Recovery
Options window, check the option that “Restore your computer using a system
image that you created earlier.”
Therefore, computer
crash is not a terrible thing, you only have to pay more attention when using
your computer in daily life, try to avoid the operations which may cause
computer crash and maintenance your computer well.
You should back up your
data regularly, especially when you found your computer frequently has
problems. Once you have data loss on computer, find a recovery tool to help
you. As long as you take measures in time, you will suffer no data loss.
