If it’s work well, you can took the hard drive apart to see if the components on hard drive surface are work well, and if there is deformation in the interface between hard disk and hard disk box. Therefore, we use the interface module in hard disk box to connect the hard disk rather than to put it in box and then insert into computer, it works well. However, put the hard disk back in box, it does not work again.

Solutions: As we have done the above operations, we can exclude the failure of  hard disk itself. Is it result from the USB power shortage? Put the hard disk on another computer, if it’s ok, you can conclude that it is the power shortage which let the hard disk cannot be r recognized.

The third failure: There are frequent errors happen when reading as use the hard disk on nforce main board.

Diagnosis: It always prompts error when using mobile hard disk to copy files on computer of nforce main board, and then the drive letter of mobile HDD disappeared. Only plug the USB again can it work well. The problem also happen when use other USB2.0 mobile HDD.

Solutions: The USB2.0 drive may be not compatible with nforce2 main board in using. So its possible that the system prompts error and the drive letter disappear when you are copying a large amount f files. To solve this problem, you need to install the sp patch of Microsoft and the nForce chipset driver, then install the USB2.0 driver of latest edition.
