What are the logical failure of hard drive?
If your hard drive fails to boot from this
hard drive, or have problem in reading, or you cannot find the drive, it should
have logical failures.
Logical failure include:
1. The hard drive turned to raw.
It is the failure of file system caused by
improper pull and plug. The system will prompts you to format it. But do not
format it! Do not write any new data on this hard drive and when you recover
data, do not restore them to this external hard drive.
2. Accident deletion. Likewise, stop using
this external drive and do not write new data or restore to the same drive.

If your external hard drive is in My computer or Disk manager, then you can use the data recovery software to recover your data.
