How to recover excel file?

There are several methods for you to recover unsaved,deleted or corrupt excel files.

Repair EXCEL files

1.      Open a blank workbook

2.      Click File—open

Change it to HTML

1.      Open the file and save it as Web page type

2.      You can chose to save the entire workbook., click save.

6.      Click save.

Make a copy for your data

1.      Open the file and select all the sheet.

2.      Right-click to move or copy data.

3.      Choose a new book and tick create a copy.

4.      Click OK

Change it to XML

1.      Open the file, save as XML type.

2.      Open this save file in Excel and save it as Excel Workbook.

3.      Change the title and save it.

Restart the computer and open the file again

1.      Reboot computer to open it excel files again

2.      If still cannot open it, delete the file from disk C, reboot again.

3.      If this cannot help, try to open it with OpenOffice

Use recent versions to restore unsaved files

1.      Click open and the recent workbook options

2.      Click “Recover unsaved workbook”

3.      Find the file you need and click to open it.

4.      Save it as another name.

Recover overwritten files

1.      Click File-Info, and then click “Manage Versions”

2.      Select recover unsaved Workbooks.

3.      Choose the proper files versions, open and save it.

How to configure Auto Recover Settings in Excel?

1.      Open the excel and click Options

2.      Click the save tab

3.      Make sure the check box of “ keep the last saved auto-saved versions if I close without saving” is selected.

4.      Click OK.
