What is Solid state drive?(SSD,
for short)
SSD has the same
size, shape, function and usage with the common used hard drive.
Compared with
the common used hard drive, SSD is superior in read-write sped, free noises, wide working
temperature range, crash-resistant and so on. But the limits of SSD are its read-write
times and higher price. Moreover, to recover data from SSD is more difficult
than the common hard drive.
Causes for SSD data loss?
1. Human
improper operation such as accident deletion , format or delete a partition.
These are the main reasons for SSD data loss.
2. Virus
infection causes data loss or file system corruption. If your computer had a
virus attack, the SSD may suffer a data loss.
3. Operating
system crash. Operating system failure may result from a registry error or
software failure.
4. Sudden
power loss in the process of data transferring.
5. SSD
damage. If the SSD is damaged, you may lose some of your data.
Can lost data on a SSD be recovered?
Many people know
that data recovery on SSD is not as easy as on common hard disk. On a common
hard drive, if you delete a file, only the index be erased and the content are
still stored on drive until they are overwritten by new data. But on SSD, when
you deleting a file, the content will be erased immediately under the TRIM
command.
What is TRIM command?
TRIM command is
utilized by SSD. Once the Windows recognize the SSD and support TRIM command, it
does not tag the deleted files but remove them immediately.
Does it mean I
cannot recover data from SSD?
No, you still have chance to recover your lost files. In
that cases, you are able to recover files.
1. If
your operating system is Windows XP. Windows XP doesn't support TRIM command.
2. If
you use an oldest SSD, it may do not support TRIM.
3. If
the SSD is connected through USB port as an external hard drive.
4. In
RAID environments
5. SSD is connected via a Fire Wire port
Use Hdata recovery software to recover your data
from SSD
First, run the
software, choose the module according to your needs.
Second, scan the
partition you lost files.
Third, preview you’re
the scanned files and choose the path to save them.
