What are the
difference between solid-state hard drive and regular hard drive.
1. Solid-state
hard disk has a faster read and write speed. Since
the solid-state drive uses flash memory as its storage medium, it will be
faster, compared with mechanical hard disk. SSDs have no head, seek time is
almost zero. SSD’s sustained read and write speed is more than 500MB / s, which
far more than the regular hard disk speed of 100MB / s.
2. SSDs are more
shake-proof and have a lower noise. Since in the
internal of solid-state hard drive, there is not head. Its operating
temperature range is relatively wide. Because there is no mechanical motor and
fan in a SSD, the operating noise is almost zero. It has no internal mechanical
moving parts, causing no mechanical failure and no collision or vibration.
3. The SSD has a
restricted life. SSDs have a fixed number of times to
read and write. But the regular hard disks are less affected from read and
write.
SSD data loss examples and solutions for data restoration
Data loss from accident deletion or virus infection
In that case, if
your SSD is not damaged, run Hdata recovery software, you can click the mode of”deleted
your files accidentally” or “Universal recovery”
Partition lost from accident deletion or virus attack.
If your
partition has lost, you can re-partition the SSD but you may have a data loss
from this action. You should run Hdata recovery software, click the mode of “hard
drive partition lost or crash” to recover data.
If you have formatted the partition or it be
destroyed by virus
Then the
partition table may have been damaged. But you still can use Data recovery
software to recover data from the damaged partition table. Clicking the mode of
“hard drive partition lost or crash”, you can recover your files from the
formatted or damaged partition.
How to avoid data loss on SSD?
The best way is
to back up your data on SSD regularly. Ifthe TRIM command has been executed,
backup is the only way to restore your data.
The most
important and the first thing to stop TRIM command after a deletion is to power
down the computer. And do not power up your computer as the TRIM command will
resume soon as you boot system. And you should stop any operation on computer
to avoid write new data to overwritten raw data. An antivirus software is
important to reduce your data loss from virus infection.
Above all, data
backup is crucial for data recovery, especially to SSD. It’s no use to cry on a
spilled milk. Prevention for data loss is the most important.
